Armin comes from Chapter 59 of the Attack on Titan manga. He's far, far ahead of the content covered by the anime and may refer to MAJOR spoilers in the plot.
I realize that AoT is a popular canon and people are accessing it in various ways. I don't hold it against anyone if they would prefer to avoid spoilers. That being said, please drop me a line here if:
* You would prefer not to be tagged by Armin
* You would like to keep all mentions of major spoilers to a minimum
* You are alright with spoilers up to a certain canon point (please say when)
* You are alright with vague but not outright stated spoilers
* Some other thing that you would like that I can do
In Chapter 53, Armin is placed in a situation where he is restrained and sexually harassed. He emerges from the incident safely and physically unharmed, but it's clear the event has upset him deeply. As Armin will explore his sexuality in this game, it's likely he will recall this incident and may freeze/become upset or exhibit other traumatized behaviors.
IN ADDITION, Armin spent 10 months inmidnightsyndicate where he was forced to have sex in order to survive. He has been mentally scarred by this and suffers low(er) self-esteem from his time there. He was placed in non-consensually sexual situations, drugged and magicked into sex, and deeply harmed by someone he cared about, and also performed acts of prostitution. At this time he pursued a consensual relationship with a man in his 20s at the age of 15-16. While these were scenarios RPed out between adults who discussed things at length, I understand why all of these subjects are objectionable, upsetting and triggering. Please let me know
If you would prefer me to:
* Not have it mentioned, described, or come up ICly between our characters whatsoever, including thoughts, reactions or allusions toward such things
* Not tag you with Armin at all
* Not have Armin mention it himself to your character, with the understanding it may be in his thoughts at some point
* Avoid ever describing it in detail, but possibly make a vague allusion or two,
* Or some other option(s) that leave you feeling most comfortable and safe to play,
Please let me know here. The last thing I want to do is upset or trigger anyone, or make things the least bit unhappy or unpleasant. Comments are screened.
On that note, if you are bothered by the violent content of AoT and would like Armin to mention it or think of it at a minimum, or for Armin not to tag you at all for that reason (or any other, like his age), please say so here. Thank you!
